Regular Season Round 11: Chardafon - Vihar Aytos 59-94

Not a big story in a game in Gabrovo where 5th ranked Chardafon (2-6) was rolled over by third ranked Vihar Aytos (5-3) 94-59 on Sunday. Vihar Aytos dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Chardafon's 36. Vihar Aytos forced 19 Chardafon turnovers and outrebounded them 59-32 including a 24-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Stoyan Milchev (185-95) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Georgi Stoyanov (-4) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Vihar Aytos players scored in double figures. Vihar Aytos' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Hristo Sarkizov (180-4) produced 6 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Stefan Bakalov (185-97) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Newly promoted Vihar Aytos maintains third place in A with 5-3 record having just three points less than leader Chavdar. Loser Chardafon keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Vihar Aytos will meet at home league's second-placed Slow & Furious in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chardafon will play against the league's leader Chavdar in Troyan and hope to secure a win.
