There was a surprise result in Karlsruhe where eleventh ranked Arvato College Wizards (3-11) won against higher ranked Loewen (8-6) 76-66 on Sunday. Arvato College Wizards looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Zaire Thompson (180-95, college: Fordham) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 assists and American power forward Thomas Bruce (205-7, college: Binghamton, agency: Players Group) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Tyseem Lyles (185-92, college: Mercy) responded with 14 points, 7 assists and 5 steals and Ivorian-French swingman Guy Landry Edi (202-88, college: Gonzaga) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Arvato College Wizards maintains eleventh position in South with 3-11 record. Loewen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Oberhaching. Arvato College Wizards will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Loewen will play against Skyliners II (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
