Regular Season Round 11: RasKKSC - VKM 64-110

Very expected game when 10th ranked RasKKSC (3-8) was smashed by fourth ranked VKM (6-5) in Klaipeda 110-64 on Sunday. VKM well out of reach of RasKKSC shooting 71.9 percent from the field. They also forced 22 RasKKSC turnovers and outrebounded them 40-20 including a 31-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. VKM looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Modestas Babraitis (189-4) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Danielius Kasparas (198-4) accounted for 22 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) for the winning side. Four VKM players scored in double figures. Guard Tauras Karabinas (190-5) came up with 24 points and swingman Nojus Vaivada (192-4) added 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for RasKKSC in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. VKM maintains fourth place with 6-5 record, which they share with Tornado KM. Loser RasKKSC dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Saule. VKM will meet Tornado KM (#5) in the next round. RasKKSC will play against the league's leader Zalgiris II (#1) and hope to secure a win.
