Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Siauliai (10-6) defeated at home 7th ranked Dzukija (5-10) 97-85 on Monday. Siauliai shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 52.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Donatas Sabeckis (197-92) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. American guard Jon Elmore (190-95, college: Marshall) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Dylan Frye (188-97, college: BGSU, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 21 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import point guard Josh Newkirk (185-94, college: Indiana) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Siauliai maintains fourth position with 10-6 record. Dzukija lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Siauliai will meet Nevezis (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Dzukija will play against P.Zvaigzdes and hope to secure a win.
