No shocking result in a game in Izmir where sixth ranked Yalova Vip (11-6) defeated 13th ranked Urla (6-11) 69-65 on Friday. American guard Cierra Dillard (176-96, college: Buffalo, agency: Shark Sports Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 10 assists for the winners and center Basak Altunbey (189-96) chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Caitlin Jenkins (190, college: Rutgers) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 24 rebounds and Sevgi Gulec (-98) scored 17 points. Four Urla players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Yalova Vip. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Rize. Urla at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Antalya and Tarsus. Yalova Vip will meet at home Rize (#5) in the next round. Urla will play against Uludag (#10) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
