Everything could happen in Istanbul at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Adana and 9th ranked Fenerbahce G. had identical 7-9 record. But Fenerbahce G. was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Adana 51-49 on Friday night. Adana outrebounded Fenerbahce G. 45-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Sule Aktas (-98) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and American-Nigerian power forward Ashley Ezeh (191-92, college: Texas St.) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Ayse Yilmaz (171-3) responded with 19 points and guard Doga Adican (178-1) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Adana. They moved-up to seventh place. Fenerbahce G. lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Cesme and Uludag. Adana will meet league's leader Emlak in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fenerbahce G. will play against Mersin (#3) and hope to secure a win.
