Regular Season Round 24: Zaporizhye - Krivbas 66-71

There was a small surprise in Zaporozhye where ninth ranked Krivbas (8-15) defeated 7th ranked Zaporizhye (11-12) 71-66 on Friday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Klym Artamonov (185-93) who added 14 points during the contest. Krivbas' coach Sergei Korablov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Canadian guard Yasiin Joseph (186, college: Carleton) with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Daeshon Francis (193-96, college: UTPB) scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Krivbas maintains ninth position with 8-15 record. Loser Zaporizhye keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Krivbas will meet league's leader Prometey in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Zaporizhye will play against Mykolaiv (#12) and hope to secure a win.
