The game between second ranked Science City Jena (14-4) and eleventh ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (9-9) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Science City Jena was defeated by Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in Bremerhaven 91-107. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Science City Jena. American point guard Rayshawn Simmons (192-93, college: CMU) answered with 16 points and 9 assists and Julius Wolf (203-93) added 17 points in the effort for Science City Jena. Five Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and four Science City Jena players scored in double figures. Science City Jena's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Hagen. Science City Jena at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven is looking forward to face league's leader Seawolves in Rostock in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Science City Jena will play at home against Eagles and is hoping to win this game.
