Regular Season Round 19: Trier - Rostock 80-88

ProA top team - Seawolves (15-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Gladiators (8-9) in Trier 88-80. Seawolves made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 27 Gladiators turnovers. Strangely Gladiators outrebounded Seawolves 35-21 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American swingman Nijal Pearson (196-97, college: Texas St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds. Center Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) helped adding 17 points. Seawolves' coach Christian Held allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American center Austin Wiley (211-99, college: Auburn) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks and Canadian Brody Clarke (205-96, college: Alberta) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Seawolves have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-3 record. Gladiators at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Seawolves will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gladiators will play against Rasta Vechta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
