Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Kirchheim Knights (10-8) lost to third ranked Tigers (13-5) in Tuebingen 93-102 on Friday. Tigers made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Tigers had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-99) who led the winners and scored 32 points. American forward Ryan Mikesell (201-96, college: Dayton) accounted for 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. American guard Rohndell Goodwin (195-91, college: Chaminade, agency: Players Group) came up with 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Elijah Strickland (195-95, college: Oklah.Christian) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Kirchheim Knights in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tigers maintains third place with 13-5 record having just two points less than leader Rostock. Loser Kirchheim Knights keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Tigers will meet Artland Dragons (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kirchheim Knights will play against Lions (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
