There was no surprise when 9th ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (3-10) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (6-7) 98-85 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kapfenberg Bulls. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels managed to win fourth quarter 28-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kapfenberg Bulls shot 63.2 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Kapfenberg Bulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Joshua Scott (185-98, college: Thomas Univ.) had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Nemanja Krstic (205-93) chipped in 28 points and 4 assists during the contest. American Cameron DeLaney (193-95, college: SHSU) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and German guard Christian von Fintel (190-90) scored 18 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kapfenberg Bulls maintains sixth position with 6-7 record. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with ten games lost. Kapfenberg Bulls will meet higher ranked UBSC Graz (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
