Not a big story in a game in Giessen where 10th ranked Rackelos (4-10) were defeated by seventh ranked Speyer (8-7) 91-85 on Saturday. Speyer looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Darian Cardenas (199-95) stepped up and scored 18 points and 4 steals for the winners and American DJ Woodmore (190-92, college: VWU) chipped in 15 points. American point guard Montrael Scott (191-93, college: PVAMU) responded with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international Johannes Lischka (203-87) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rackelos' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Speyer moved-up to sixth place in South. Rackelos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Speyer will meet at home Bayern (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rackelos will play against Coburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
