The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Sudhessen's (1-9) road loss to sixth ranked Frankfurt (4-5) 58-70 on Saturday. Frankfurt outrebounded Sudhessen 50-28 including a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for center Alexander Richardson (201-3) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. Bennet Schubert (187-3) accounted for 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard Niklas Kitchens (185-4) came up with 18 points and American Kaleb McKenzie (185-4) added 12 points and 5 steals respectively for Sudhessen in the defeat. Sudhessen's coach Matthias Donges let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Frankfurt maintains sixth place in South with 4-5 record. Sudhessen lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Frankfurt will meet higher ranked Bamberg/Breit. (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sudhessen will play against Basketball-Akademie and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
