Regular Season Round 17: Wolmirstedt - BSW Sixers 95-88

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Sixers (7-6) were defeated on the road by third ranked Wolmirstedt (9-5) 95-88 on Saturday. Wolmirstedt shot 61.4 percent from the field. They also forced 19 Sixers turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Wolmirstedt looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Martin Bogdanov (186-92) stepped up and scored 24 points and 4 assists for the winners and forward Marc Nagora (203-93) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Marco Rahn (199-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and Lithuanian swingman Lukas Kazlauskas (188-92) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wolmirstedt moved-up to second place in North. Loser Sixers keep the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Iserlohn and Duesseldorf. Wolmirstedt will meet league's leader Muenster on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sixers will play against Schwelm (#8) and hope to secure a win.
