Rather expected game in Sakiai where 9th ranked Palanga (11-14) was defeated by seventh ranked Vytis (14-12) 92-87. Vytis players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Palanga's players. Aurelijus Pukelis (205-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Marijus Uzupis (197-93) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. Center Laurynas Mikalauskas (203-85, college: Virginia) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Ernestas Jaskus (195-0) added 21 points in the effort for Palanga. Vytis moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Vilkaviskis. Palanga at the other side keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Vytis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Palanga will play at home against Vilnius (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
