Regular Season Round 14: Interkhim - Dynamo-NPU 66-86

Another exciting game was played in Odessa between eighth ranked Dynamo-NPU and 5th ranked Interkhim where Dynamo-NPU (3-17) rolled over Interkhim (9-11) on the road with 20-point difference 86-66. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo-NPU. Interkhim was better in fourth quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dynamo-NPU dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Interkhim's 34 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American forward Akilah Bethel (183-93, college: LSU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard Keke Calloway (170-97, college: Mercer) contributed with 26 points for the winners. Four Dynamo-NPU players scored in double figures. Swingman Svitlana Kolibabchuk (189-87) replied with 18 points and the former international swingman Nataliya Skorbatyuk (182-95, agency: BIG) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Interkhim. Interkhim's coach Iryna Shchipakina rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dynamo-NPU moved-up to seventh place. Interkhim at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Dynamo-NPU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kyiv Kyiv Basket.
