We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Young Dragons (6-3) won against second-ranked Leverkusen (6-4) in Quakenbrueck 75-70 on Sunday. It was a key game for the second position in North. Young Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Leverkusen's 18. It was an exceptional evening for Kilian Brockhoff (205-4) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Noah Janen (196-4) accounted for 18 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Young Dragons players scored in double figures. Dutch point guard Nino Vrencken (190-3) came up with 21 points and 7 assists and Joel Lungelu (204-3) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Leverkusen in the defeat. Leverkusen's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Young Dragons moved-up to second place in North. Loser Leverkusen dropped to the third position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
