Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Gaziantep (11-6) outplayed at home 13th ranked Yalova (4-12) 81-54 on Sunday. Gaziantep forced 21 Yalova turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Yalova's players. American Milton Doyle (193-93, college: Loyola, IL) nailed 21 points and 5 assists for the winning side and French center Alpha Kaba (208-96) accounted for 11 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. Five Gaziantep players scored in double figures. American swingman CJ Williams (196-90, college: NC State) came up with 16 points and the other American import center Marcus Lee (208-94, college: California) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Yalova in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gaziantep moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka and Galatasaray. Yalova lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Gaziantep will meet Merkezefendi (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Yalova will play against Afyon Bld in Afyonkarahisar and hope to secure a win.
