The game in Kaunas was also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers VKM (6-6) played at the court of fifth ranked Tornado KM (7-5). Tornado KM managed to secure a 4-point victory 88-84. VKM was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 44-33 second half run of Tornado KM. They also forced 21 VKM turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by point guard Sarunas Morkevicius (181-4) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Zilvinas Rusys (170-4) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by forward Danielius Kasparas (198-4) did not help to save the game for VKM. Point guard Titas Pundinas (175-5) added 13 points and 9 assists. Five Tornado KM and four VKM players scored in double figures. Tornado KM moved-up to fourth place. VKM at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with ASRC. Tornado KM's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena Zalgiris II.
