Regular Season Round 12: Herlev - Falcon 55-80

An interesting game for Falcon (10-0) which played road game in Herlev against 4th ranked Herlev (2-7). Top-ranked Falcon had an easy win 80-55. The game without a history. Falcon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Falcon forced 20 Herlev turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Emilie Hesseldal (185-90, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and international point guard Gritt Ryder (175-92, college: Colorado St.) who added 17 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Ellen Iversen (180-97) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Emilie Larsen (177-1) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Falcon have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Newly promoted Falcon maintains first position with 10-0 record. Herlev lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Falcon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Herlev will play on the road against Aabyhoj (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
