Satu Mare led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CSM Targoviste to just 4 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Sparkle Taylor (178-95, college: UTEP) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and Bosnian point guard Miljana Dzombeta (175-94) who added 15 points and 12 assists during the contest. Satu Mare's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international Gabriela Irimia (183-90) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and international point guard Carla Popescu (168-0) scored 10 points. Satu Mare have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sf.Gheorghe. Loser CSM Targoviste keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Satu Mare will meet Brasov (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CSM Targoviste will play against Constanta and hope to secure a win.
