No shocking result in a game when first ranked Vechta-2 (13-4) smashed on the road 9th ranked Cuxhaven (6-9) 109-76 on Saturday. Vechta-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Cuxhaven's 40. They outrebounded Cuxhaven 36-25 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tim Insinger (209-97) stepped up and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Kevin Smit (183-91) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Vechta-2 players scored in double figures. Vechta-2's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
