No shocking result in a game when second ranked Gmunden Swans (10-4) defeated on the road 6th ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (6-7) 76-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Gmunden Swans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. American forward Stephon Jelks (198-96, college: Mercer) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Daniel Friedrich (181-92) chipped in 24 points during the contest. Serbian forward Nemanja Krstic (205-93) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian forward Milos Grubor (201-91) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 10-4 record having just two point less than leader Vienna. Kapfenberg Bulls at the other side keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Gmunden Swans will meet at home Dukes (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against UBSC Graz and hope to secure a win.
