Very predictable result in Eisenstadt where second ranked Nord Dragonz (10-2) defeated bottom-ranked Flames (0-13) 82-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Nord Dragonz. Flames managed to win fourth quarter 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nord Dragonz had a 33-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Nord Dragonz especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Serbian center Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Croatian point guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Nord Dragonz's coach Felix Jambor used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Fabio Sohnel (193, college: Mineral Area) produced 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Leonardo Lovrin (-3) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Nord Dragonz have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Panthers. Loser Flames still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Nord Dragonz will meet Blackbirds (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
