Rather expected game when 8th ranked Hatay (6-8) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Bursa (10-3) 67-60. It was an exceptional evening for Romanian forward Claudia Cuic (182-89) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Kathleen Doyle (175-98, college: Iowa) accounted for 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Bursa players scored in double figures. Bursa's coach Aydin Uguz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Aaryn Ellenberg-Wiley (167-92, college: Oklahoma) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Bahar Caglar (190-88) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Hatay in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bursa. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mersin. Hatay lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Bursa will play against league's second-placed Nesibe in Ankara in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hatay will play at home against Kayseri (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
