Regular Season Round 16: Hatay - Elazig 103-51

The game with biggest result difference took place in Hatay. Local Hatay (8-8) outscored 14th ranked Elazig (1-15) 103-51. Hatay dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Elazig's 30. They outrebounded Elazig 42-28 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hatay shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Hatay's coach Ekin Bas felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Greek point guard Angeliki Vintsilaiou (174-98) replied with 18 points and 4 steals and DR Congolese power forward Chanel Mokango (188-88, college: MSU) added 6 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Elazig. Hatay maintains eighth position with 8-8 record. Elazig lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Hatay will play against higher ranked Botas A. (#6) in Adana in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Elazig will play at home against Ormanspor (#3) to get more than just one victory in their record.
