Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Merkezefendi (2-13) lost on the road to seventh ranked TED Ankara (7-8) 74-67 on Thursday. TED Ankara shot 23 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Merkezefendi only scored four points from the stripe. TED Ankara forced 23 Merkezefendi turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by Ege Cangal (-3) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Can Sayin (-3) supported him with 9 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 23 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists by forward Atahan Altiok (198-4) did not help to save the game for Merkezefendi. Egemen Ege (-3) added 13 points and 5 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TED Ankara maintains seventh position in League with 7-8 record. Newly promoted Merkezefendi keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. TED Ankara will meet league's leader Gaziantep on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
