No shocking result in a game in Kaunas where fifth ranked Zalgiris (9-5) smashed 10th ranked VK-Kamane (1-11) 80-51. Zalgiris held VK-Kamane to an opponent 24.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Zalgiris players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Daniele Pakulyte (182-4) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Vesta Peregorodejevaite (165-1) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. Point guard Olga Fomina (164-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and Raminta Sakickaite (180-98) added 4 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for VK-Kamane. Zalgiris moved-up to fourth place in Lyga. VK-Kamane at the other side keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Zalgiris will play against higher ranked Vilniaus Svaja (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. VK-Kamane will have a break next round.
