Very predictable result in Klaipeda where Vytis defeated Neptunas-Akv. 77-70 on Saturday. Strangely Neptunas-Akv. outrebounded Vytis 45-29 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Aurelijus Pukelis (205-94) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Marijus Uzupis (197-93) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. Center Oskaras Pleikys (202-1, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and Gabrielius Mazeika (205-3) added 23 points respectively for the hosts. Vytis will meet Palanga on the road in the next round. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Mazeikiai and hope to secure a win.
