Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked Ulm BBU 01 (6-8) beat on the road 13th ranked Mannheim (4-11) 78-74 on Saturday. Center Antonio Dorn (211-3) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Latrell Grosskopf (200-1) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Ulm BBU 01 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-91, college: AAMU) with 46 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-92) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Ulm BBU 01 moved-up to tenth place in South West. Loser Mannheim keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Ulm BBU 01 will meet at home higher ranked Tuebingen 2 (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mannheim will play against Reutlingen (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
