Regular Season Round 18: Herford - Wulfen 79-87

There was an upset when top-ranked Herford (14-3) was defeated at home by eighth ranked BSV Wulfen (9-8) 87-79 on Saturday. American point guard Bryant Allen (183-90, college: Dakota St.) scored 33 points (!!!), 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Bulgarian swingman Lyuben Paskov (196-90) chipped in 21 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Omar Zemhoute (194-91) with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and American guard Juhwan Harris-Dyson (196-98, college: California) scored 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Four BSV Wulfen and five Herford players scored in double figures. BSV Wulfen moved-up to sixth place in West, which they share with Recklinghausen and Hamm. Loser Herford still keeps top position with three games lost. BSV Wulfen will meet at home Hagen-Haspe (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. Herford will play against Recklinghausen (#6) and hope to secure a win.
