Very expected game when 14th ranked Rasta Vechta (7-13) was smashed by second ranked Seawolves (16-4) in Rostock 95-66 on Sunday. Seawolves made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international Sid-Marlon Theis (204-93) notched 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Chris Carter (193-92, college: Florida Tech) supported him with 14 points and 8 assists. Five Seawolves players scored in double figures. Even 10 points by swingman Joel-Sadu Aminu (193-97) did not help to save the game for Rasta Vechta. American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: MTSU) added 9 points and 5 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Seawolves maintains second position with 16-4 record behind leader Jena. Rasta Vechta lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 13 games lost. Seawolves will meet Kirchheim Knights (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rasta Vechta will have a break next round.
