Brasov's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Bucuresti E. (1-9) 76-57. The game was mostly controlled by Brasov. Bucuresti E. was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 33-of-42 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Bucuresti E. only scored fourteen points from the stripe. Brasov had a 33-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Bucuresti E. was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Mihai Dragusanu scored 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Sergiu Souca (200-86) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side David Anghel (195-5) responded with 16 points and 4 steals and Robert Spoitoru (-5) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brasov (1-8) left bottom position moving up to tenth place. It was Bucuresti E.'s sixth loss in a row. Bucuresti E. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Brasov will play against higher ranked Craiova 2 (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
