Regular Season Round 15: Amager - Svendborg 65-104

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Amager (0-14) was smashed by second ranked Svendborg (11-3) in Kastrup 104-65 on Monday. Svendborg forced 24 Amager turnovers and outrebounded them 49-28 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Brandon Norfleet (196-93, college: IUP, agency: Inception Sports) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Forward David Hockerup (206-1) accounted for 18 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winning side. Five Svendborg players scored in double figures. Guard Oscar Quackenbush (188-99) came up with 14 points and 4 assists and American forward Derrick Woods (203-97, college: St.Peter's) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Amager in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Svendborg maintains second place with 11-3 record having just three points less than leader Bakken. Loser Amager still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Svendborg will meet league's leader Bakken in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amager will play against Randers (#4) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
