Everything went according to plan in Istanbul where third ranked Darussafaka (12-3) beat 5th ranked Tofas (8-8) 88-78 on Monday. It was a great shooting night for Darussafaka especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was center Bora Yasar (206-3) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Ege Ozcelik (-3) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Darussafaka's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Ali Taskin (201-3) produced 23 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Omer Engin (-6) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Darussafaka moved-up to second place in League. Loser Tofas dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Darussafaka will meet Tesvikiye (#5) on the road in the next round. Tofas will play against the league's leader Gaziantep and hope to secure a win.
