Second Stage Round 3: Mazeikiai - Neptunas-Akv. 86-83

There was no surprise when Neptunas-Akv. (5-22) was edged on the road by Mazeikiai (10-17) 86-83 on Thursday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for center Jonas Paukste (220-0) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Jawan Davis (184-89, college: Claflin) helped adding 20 points and 6 assists. Four Mazeikiai players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Oskaras Pleikys (202-1, agency: BIG) with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field) and Lukas Kreismontas (197-1) scored 20 points and 5 steals. Mazeikiai will meet Delikatesas (#13) in the next round. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Palanga and hope to secure a win.
