There was no surprise when 18th ranked s Oliver Baskets (4-14) were defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Braunschweig (8-11) 80-75 on Thursday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Braunschweig looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Canadian power forward Owen Klassen (208-91, college: Acadia, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. American point guard Tookie Brown (180-95, college: Georgia South) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Uruguayan-Italian point guard Luciano Parodi (182-94) produced 12 points and 9 assists and American guard William Buford (196-90, college: Ohio St.) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. s Oliver Baskets' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Braunschweig maintains eleventh position with 8-11 record, which they share with Bamberg. s Oliver Baskets lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth place with 14 games lost.
