Regular Season Round 16: Bakken - Svendborg 95-92

Second-ranked Svendborg (11-4) gave a tough game to top-ranked Bakken (15-0) in Aarhus on Saturday. Bakken managed to secure only three-point victory 95-92. However their fans expected easier game. Strangely Svendborg outrebounded Bakken 47-33 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of center Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Marvelle Harris (196-93, college: Fresno St., agency: Slash Sports) who added 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Brandon Norfleet (196-93, college: IUP, agency: Inception Sports) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Tyre Gathright (193-96, college: St.Augustine) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bakken have an impressive 15-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-0 record. Svendborg at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Bakken will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Svendborg will play on the road against Vaerlose and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
