Very expected game when 14th ranked Elazig (1-16) was smashed at home by fourth ranked Ormanspor (13-4) 101-66 on Saturday. Ormanspor dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Elazig's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Elazig's players. The former international point guard Sevgi Uzun (170-97) nailed 23 points and 9 assists for the winning side and American point guard Danielle Robinson (178-89, college: Oklahoma) accounted for 20 points. Five Ormanspor players scored in double figures. Ormanspor's coach Alper Durur felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Melike Yalcinkaya (189-93) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and DR Congolese power forward Chanel Mokango (188-88, college: MSU) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Elazig in the defeat. Ormanspor moved-up to second place, which they share with Mersin. Elazig lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Ormanspor will meet at home Bursa (#5) in the next round. Elazig will play against Besiktas (#10) in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
