Regular Season Round 16: Leotar - Posusje 101-76

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Posusje (8-7) was smashed by fourth ranked Leotar (10-4) in Trebinje 101-76 on Saturday. Leotar outrebounded Posusje 42-27 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by the former international forward Bozo Djurasovic (201-87) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Milan Luzaic (191-96) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Leotar players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Alan Wiggins (205-85, college: USF, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Posusje. His fellow American import point guard Tyree Griffin (178-96, college: Southern Miss) added 24 points and 6 assists for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leotar maintains fourth position with 10-4 record. Posusje lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Bratunac. Leotar will meet Mladost (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Posusje will play against Bratunac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
