Very expected game when 9th ranked Kirchheim Knights (11-11) were defeated at home by second ranked Seawolves (17-4) 97-93 on Saturday. Seawolves made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American swingman Nijal Pearson (196-97, college: Texas St.) who scored 29 points. His fellow American import guard Tyler Nelson (190-95, college: Fairfield) chipped in 14 points. Four Seawolves players scored in double figures. American guard Rohndell Goodwin (195-91, college: Chaminade, agency: Players Group) produced 31 points and 5 assists and Till Pape (204-97, agency: LUMANI 10.7) added 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Seawolves keep a position of league leader, which they share with Jena. Kirchheim Knights lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Seawolves will meet at home Leverkusen (#5) in the next round. Kirchheim Knights will play against Schwenningen (#13) and hope to secure a win.
