This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Ovarense (7-11) to fourth ranked Oliveirense (11-6) 91-89 on Saturday evening. American players dominated the game. Shaun Willett (193-96, college: Queens, NC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Zane Waterman (203-95, college: Manhattan) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Oliveirense's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Kameron Hankerson (196-98, college: Green Bay) replied with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and center Tyere Marshall (206, college: Rider) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks in the effort for Ovarense. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Oliveirense have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 11-6 record. Ovarense at the other side keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. Oliveirense are looking forward to face CAB Madeira (#5) in Funchal in the next round. Ovarense will play on the road against the league's second-placed Benfica in Lisbona and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
