Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Turk Telekom (9-11) defeated bottom-ranked Socar Petkim (3-17) in Ankara 75-70 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Turk Telekom made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American-Kazakhstan point guard Anthony Clemmons (187-94, college: Iowa, agency: Inception Sports) who scored that evening 20 points and American swingman Aubrey Dawkins (198-95, college: UCF, agency: Network Sports International) supported him with 13 points. Even 26 points and 6 rebounds by American Sean Armand (193-91, college: Iona, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Socar Petkim. American-Puerto Rican point guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: WVU) added 17 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Turk Telekom have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place. Socar Petkim lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Turk Telekom will meet higher ranked Acibadem (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Socar Petkim will play against Buyukcekmece (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
