Regular Season Round 15: SKM I - Panevezio 82-80

Seventh-ranked Panevezio (6-8) gave a tough game to first ranked SKM I (13-3) in Vilniaus on Sunday. SKM I managed to secure only two-point victory 82-80. However their fans expected much easier game. Panevezio cut a 13-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. They outrebounded Panevezio 47-34 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Matas Klimantavicius (201-4) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Kristupas Vigraitis (192-4) helped adding 21 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was Nikas Stuknys (-5) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists and Vilhelmas Tallat-Kelpsa (-4) scored 19 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKM I have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-3 record. Panevezio at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. SKM I are looking forward to face ASRC (#4) in Alytus in the next round. Panevezio will play at home against Tornado KM and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
