Regular Season Round 25: Khmelnytskyi - Hoverla 92-73

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Khmelnytskyi (16-6) smashed at home 6th ranked Hoverla (3-17) 92-73 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Khmelnytskyi. Hoverla managed to win fourth quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khmelnytskyi dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hoverla's 30. They outrebounded Hoverla 52-35 including 37 on the defensive glass. Khmelnytskyi looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Hoverla's players. Power forward Anton Davydiuk (205-92, agency: BIG) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and guard Nikola Polyulyak (192-90) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 8 steals. Four Khmelnytskyi players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Dmytro Zhuravliov (201-2) responded with 31 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Andriy Kalashnikov (175-89) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Khmelnytskyi. Newly promoted Khmelnytskyi maintains third place with 16-6 record having six points less than leader Prometey-2. Hoverla lost their twelfth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. They share it with MBC-Niko 2.
