The game in Artsakh was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Erebuni (19-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Artsakh (5-10). Erebuni managed to secure a 7-point victory 116-109. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 30-23. But Artsakh won second period 34-32. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Erebuni made 29-of-37 charity shots (78.4 percent) during the game, while Artsakh only scored eight points from the stripe. Artsakh was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a good game for swingman Edwin Cole (203, college: Frostburg St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Robert Hobson (197-96, college: JWU, NC, agency: ASEC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Hobson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Guard Desean Green (188-98, college: Milligan, agency: Project B Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals (on 17-of-22 shooting from the field) and guard Justin Sutton (187-96, college: Medgar Evers) added 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Artsakh. Four Artsakh players scored in double figures. Erebuni have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-3 record having just one point less than leader Urartu. Newly promoted Artsakh keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Erebuni will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Artsakh will play at home against AIA Yerevan (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
