Regular Season Round 15: ASRC - SKM II 75-70

Rather expected game in Alytus where 8th ranked SKM II (5-9) was defeated by sixth ranked ASRC (7-6) 75-70. SKM II was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 44-37 second half run of ASRC. It was an exceptional evening for forward Nojus Lebskas (197-4) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Martas Varanius (182-4) accounted for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Swingman Mantas Janciauskas (193-4) came up with 26 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Rytis Neverdauskas (193-4) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for SKM II in the defeat. SKM II's coach Rokas Kasparavicius rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ASRC moved-up to fourth place, which they share with VKM. SKM II lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. ASRC will play against league's leader SKM I in Vilniaus in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SKM II's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vilniaus VKM.
