Regular Season Round 25: Artsakh - Gyumri 102-94

The game between third ranked Falcons (11-11) and seventh ranked Artsakh (7-10) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Falcons were defeated by Artsakh in a tough game in Artsakh 94-102. Falcons were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Artsakh made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Justin Sutton (187-96, college: Medgar Evers) who helped to win the game recording 47 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Desean Green (188-98, college: Milligan, agency: Project B Sports) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Sutton is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Artsakh players scored in double figures. Swingman Deojunique Flippin (198-94, college: Livingstone, agency: Green Sports Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and point guard Joshua Crawford (180, college: Cent.CC Bible) added 28 points and 12 assists in the effort for Falcons. Artsakh have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Falcons at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the third position with 11 games lost. Artsakh are looking forward to face league's leader Urartu in Yerevan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Falcons will have a break next round.
