There was no surprise when 17th ranked s Oliver Baskets (4-15) were defeated on the road by ninth ranked Hamburg Towers (11-9) 113-103 on Friday. Hamburg Towers shot 61.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Hamburg Towers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Estonian center Maik-Kalev Kotsar (211-96, college: S.Carolina) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds (on 14-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international point guard Justus Hollatz (191-1, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. Hamburg Towers' coach Pedro Calles allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Cameron Hunt (192-97, college: Southwestern, KS) with 23 points and 6 assists and Uruguayan-Italian point guard Luciano Parodi (182-94) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists.
