Regular Season Round 20: Steaua B. - Miercurea Ciuc 85-75

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Steaua B. (9-10) won against 15th ranked Miercurea Ciuc (4-14) in Bucuresti 85-75. It looked good early as Miercurea Ciuc took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Steaua B. had a 26-14 second period charge getting the lead and Miercurea Ciuc was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-85. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Terrell Carter II (208-96, college: Fresno St., agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds and Croatian point guard Karlo Vragovic (192-89) who added 25 points during the contest. Four Steaua B. players scored in double figures. Serbian swingman Mihajlo Bogdanovic (197-96) responded with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and DR Congolese-Canadian forward Chadrack Lufile (206-90, college: Wichita St., agency: BIG) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Steaua B. maintains seventh position with 9-10 record. Miercurea Ciuc at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Rapid.
